College Information Night for Latino students and families
EUGENE - Lane Community College, Springfield Public Schools, GEAR UP, and Selco Community Credit Union offer a college information night for Latino and Latina middle and high school students in Lane County on Tuesday, May 15, from 6-8:30 p.m. at Springfield High School. The bilingual English/Spanish event is called Infórmate, Prepárate, Edúcate para el colegio, or, Inform yourself, Prepare yourself, Educate yourself for college. The event will feature student speakers, entertainment, snacks, and college information. There will be drawings for iPods and an awards ceremony to recognize outstanding Latino and Latina students in Lane County. Selco Community Credit Union will give out three $500 college scholarships to outstanding seniors. For more information call 954-2858 or 463-5688.
