LCC Budget Committee to meet
EUGENE, OR - The Lane Community College Budget Committee will hold its first public meeting of the 2007/08 budget development process on Wednesday, May 2, at 5:30 p.m. in the Boardroom, Building 3, main campus, 4000 E. 30th Avenue in Eugene.
The purpose of the first meeting is election of committee chair, vice chair and secretary, and presentation of the budget message and document.
Public comment will be accepted at the second meeting on Wednesday, May 9. Additional meetings may be held May 16, 23, and 30, if needed. All meetings will be at 5:30 p.m. in the Boardroom.
The committee’s charge is to review, revise and approve the proposed budget for recommendation to the Board of Education for adoption. The Board of Education makes final budget decisions and must adopt the budget in June. Board of Education meetings are scheduled for May 9 and June 13.
The Budget Committee includes Lane’s seven elected Board of Education members and their citizen appointees.
