Women in avaition to form chapter
EUGENE - The Lane Community College Aviation Academy will host an organizational meeting for WAI, or Women in Aviation International, on Saturday, January 20, at 10 a.m. at the college’s Flight Technology Center at Eugene Airport.
This meeting will formally establish an affiliate chapter with the Women In Aviation Mt. Hood Chapter.
Lane offers associate of science degrees and FAA certification in flight technology and aviation maintenance technology; an associate of arts Oregon transfer degree in aviation sciences; and articulation with baccalaureate degrees at Oregon State University in aviation leadership, and education in workforce settings. Lane also offers independent pilot certification in private pilot airplane single and multiengine land, instrument rating, commercial pilot airplane single and multiengine land, flight instructor airplane single and multiengine, and flight instructor instrument.
Women in Aviation, International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing networking, mentoring and scholarship opportunities for men and women who are striving for challenging and fulfilling careers in the aviation and aerospace industries.
