Lane Family Connections awarded national quality assurance validation
EUGENE - Lane Family Connections at Lane Community College has received Child Care Aware Quality Assurance certification from the National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies. The certification is awarded for three years and is renewable. Lane Family Connections was one of the first agencies to submit the application using an online pilot website method of submission.
Certification ensures that Lane Family Connections meets national standards for service delivery and is the best resource for information on local child care availability, licensing laws, quality indicators, scholarships and subsidies, and other parenting resources.
Lane Family Connections received special acknowledgment by the national validation panel for identifying and conducting outreach to under-served and minority populations and a well-developed Limited English Proficiency Plan for providing services in languages other than English. The panel also recognized the program's long-standing presence in the community and the comprehensive, user-friendly and professional website at 2011sitearchive.lanecc.edu/lfc.
Located on Lane’s main campus, Lane Family Connections is a grant-funded program that provides a range of support, training and resource information to child care providers, parents and community agencies.
