LCC board urges rejection of Measures 41 and 48
EUGENE - A resolution opposing Measures 41 and 48 was approved by 7-0 vote at last night's meeting of the Lane Community College Board of Education.
The measures could "result in a devastating decrease in funding" for the college, because less revenue will limit the state's ability to adequately fund community colleges. State support for Lane already has decreased by more than 20 percent in the past five years.
The resolution concludes, "The Lane Community College Board of Education opposes Ballot Measures 41 and 48 and urges the public to reject these unwise measures."
