Lane Community College board elects officers for 2006/07
EUGENE - Jay Bozievich of Eugene was voted 2006/07 chair and Pat Riggs-Henson of Springfield was voted vice chair of the Lane Community College Board of Education, at the board's July 19 meeting. Bozievich has held the Zone 2 seat on the board since 2003. Riggs-Henson returned to the Zone 3 seat in 2005 and previously served from 1989-98. The board includes seven non-paid members elected to four-year terms. The board has primary authority for establishing policies governing the operation of the college and adopting the college's annual budget. Their charge is to oversee the development of programs and services which they believe will best serve the needs of the people of the college district.
