LCC hires associate vice president for finance

EUGENE - Greg Morgan has been named associate vice president for finance at Lane Community College.
He most recently was senior vice president for the military banking program with the Bank of America in Okinawa, Japan. His 28-year career in accounting and finance includes directing Air Force military pay operations for the defense finance and accounting service in Denver, and serving as chief financial officer for the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. He also has taught at Brigham young University, the University of Maryland, and the University of Phoenix.
Morgan is a certified public accountant. He earned a master’s degree in systems management from the University of Southern California in 1980, and two bachelor’s degrees from BYU in 1978, one in finance and the other in Asian studies. He lived in Japan for 14 years and is fluent in Japanese. He has traveled extensively in Asia.
His first day at Lane was May 1.
