BizCenter open house marks the opening of the Center for Hi-Tech Innovation
EUGENE, OR - The Lane Community College Business Development Center will hold its annual open house on Thursday, May 18, from 4:30 to 6 p.m., to celebrate clients successes and formally introduce the Center for Hi-Tech Innovation.
This year's open house theme, "Putting the Pieces Together," honors the many BizCenter services and resources that are available to help area businesses, large and small, to create and sustain successful ventures. The event will feature the official grand opening of the Center for Hi-Tech Innovation, which provides support, services, and training for innovators and inventors, along with hors d'oeuvres, music, and door prizes. A mini-faire will also provide clients an opportunity to showcase their products and services. The festive, informal atmosphere offers ample opportunities for networking, for meeting BizCenter staff and instructors, and for learning about BizCenter resources.
The highlight of this year's event will be the annual Business of the Year awards, with presentations honoring three area organizations. This year, in addition to naming the Small Business of the Year and the Microenterprise of the Year, the BizCenter will also be naming a Training Partner of the Year to celebrate the success of its Employee Training arm. Winners will be announced at the open house.
