LCC instructor named Educator of the Year

EUGENE - Beverly Farfan of Eugene, a cooperative education instructor at Lane Community College since 1998, was named Educator of the Year by the Oregon Department of Education, Office of Student Learning and Partnerships, and the Oregon Parent Training and Information Center, at a recent conference Salem.
Farfan coordinates the Career Workforce Skills Training Project at Lane in partnership with the Oregon Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. The award recognizes Farfan for a unique and innovative teaching style when working with students with disabilities. Farfan works with vocational rehabilitation counselors and high school transition specialists to address students' personal and academic needs by developing individualized education plans and programs.
