Holocaust remembrance events include a film and a reading of names

EUGENE - The interim diversity coordinator and the multicultural center at Lane Community College present two events honoring Holocaust Memorial Day, Yom Hashoah. The film, "One Survivor Remembers," will be shown Monday, April 24, from 12-1 p.m. in the Center for Meeting and Learning, Building 19, Room 226, main campus in Eugene. A reading of the names from the “Book of Names” memorializing the six million Jews killed in the Holocaust, will take place Tuesday, April 25, from 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m., at Bristow Square west of the Center Building. Participants will read for 20-minute periods. Opening and closing ceremonies will be conducted by local Temple Beth Israel rabbis. Both events are free and open to the public.
