Sustainable Foods Alliance to meet

EUGENE, OR - An Inaugural Members' Forum of the new Willamette Valley Sustainable Foods Alliance will take place on Wednesday evening, April 5.

The mission of the WVSFA is to promote natural food through relationships, education, and sustainable business practices via an alliance of Lane County businesses involved in the production and distribution of natural foods. The organization's stated goals include establishing regional branding, cultivating positive working relationships with governmental representatives and other area organizations with similar goals, educating the public about natural foods, fostering improved distribution channels, and other activities as needed to support and maintain the member businesses. Membership is open to growers, brokers, distributors, wholesalers, producers, and retailers, including restaurants and stores.
