Tova Stabin hired as interim diversity coordinator at LCC

EUGENE - Tova Stabin has been hired as interim diversity coordinator for Lane Community College following a competitive process.
Stabin frequently served as a diversity trainer at Lane since 2001, and has been a diversity educator and information consultant in the community for the past 20 years. She is a published author and lifelong social justice activist with strong experience working with a variety of diverse and marginalized communities.
Stabin earned a bachelor of arts in women's studies and English from the State University of New York at Albany in 1978, a master's certificate in business administration from the University of Washington in 1982, and a master's in library information science from the University of Washington in 1983.
Stabin assumes the interim diversity coordinator assignment due to former coordinator Jim Garcia's appointment as interim Chicano/Latino Student Program coordinator in the college's Multicultural Center.
