Many Options for Learning QuickBooks. Learn how to make the top-selling small business financial software work for you with two styles of Quickbooks workshops. Those who want to cover ground in less time may choose the Concepts series. The viewing-based, 20-hour Concepts class moves from basic to advanced techniques over five modules. The more hands-on Operations series covers the same ground in 30 hours, split into two modules. To customize the experience, all modules may be taken separately, or participants can enroll in the series at a substantial savings. All QuickBooks classes are taught by Jim Savage, a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. QuickBooks classes are offered at the BizCenter's Wildish Building. Visit www.lanesbdc.com for more information, or call 463-5255 to register.
The "QuickBooks Concepts Series" kicks off with the introductory module on Friday, Sept. 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Other modules follow on Oct. 7 ("Getting Started and More"), Oct. 14 ("Beyond the Basics"), Oct. 21 ("Payroll"), and Oct. 28 ("Job Costing and Time Billing") at the same times. Modules may be taken separately at $79 each, or sign up for the whole series for just $239.
The "QuickBooks Operations Series" is offered Wednesdays, from 9 a.m. to noon. The first module covering half the topics begins on Sept. 28. Module 2 starts Nov. 2. Register for individual modules ($189 each), or save by taking the series ($265).###
