LCC instructor Joe McCully earns Certified Hospitality Educator credential

EUGENE, OR - Joe McCully of Eugene, hospitality instructor at Lane Community College since 2003, has been recertified as a Certified Hospitality Educator by the American Hotel and Lodging Association. The recertification is based on his years in teaching, operations, and other activities in the hospitality industry.
McCully has a bachelor's degree in hotel and restaurant management from the University of Denver (1969), and a master's degree in hospitality management from Florida International University (2003). He founded and operated McCully's Rooftop restaurant in Bonita Springs, Fla., for 24 years. He grew up the New York restaurant business and is originally from Fort Myers, Fla.
The hospitality management program at Lane Community College offers a one-year certificate and a two-year associate of applied science degree. The curriculum focuses on the management aspects of the hospitality industry: lodging, meeting and convention management, food and beverage, travel and tourism, and recreation and leisure.
