LCC President Mary Spilde receives outstanding performance evaluation for the fourth straight year
EUGENE, OR – “We are pleased to report that since being named president in 2001, Mary has earned an outstanding performance review for the fourth straight year,” said Lane Community College Board of Education outgoing chair Paul Holman at the board’s meeting on July 13. Holman read from a statement describing the annual evaluation process for Lane President Mary Spilde. The evaluation emphasized the president’s vision, caring and leadership. Achievements of the past year were noted, among them reaffirmation of accreditation; progress toward fiscal stability despite uncertain funding; speaking out for diversity; and improving educational and training opportunities for students and the community.
“The college is privileged to have a leader of this caliber,” added incoming Chair Roger Hall. “She is a blessing to our college, community and state.”
