Lane Family Connections accepting applications
EUGENE - Applications to the Lane Community College Lane Family Connections Child Care Enhancement Program are now available at or by calling the program office at (541) 463-3954.
In 2003, the state legislature enacted a tax credit contribution plan designed to address the market failure in the child care sector. Lane Family Connections received funds to implement strategies to enhance child care in Lane County.
The new Child Care Enhancement Program will provide funds to increase child care provider wages and professional development, decrease parent cost to less than 10 percent of family income, and improve the quality of child care.
Applications will be accepted beginning June 25. Completed applications should be submitted to Lane Community College Lane Family Connections, 4000 East 30th Avenue, Building 26, Eugene, OR, 97405. The selection process begins June 25 and continues until the program fills. Selection will be based on program eligibility requirements, completed applications and work in the industry.
Lane Family Connections is the child care resource and referral program for Lane County that bridges the gap between parents seeking child care and those who provide care to children. LFC coordinates and offers child care provider training as well as a variety of ongoing support to caregivers.
