Spring to success at the BizCenter
EUGENE, OR - Spring term brings a host of workshops designed for new or established businesses at the Lane Community College Business Development Center and Employee Training. Classes begin soon.
Building the Foundations of Your Business, Space is still available for the next Foundations session starting April 6. This six-month class is designed for entrepreneurs in their first year of business who want to take their businesses to the next level. Major topics include business planning, systems implementation, marketing and sales, and hiring and managing employees. The class meets on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Lane's Business Development Center, 1445 Willamette Street in Eugene. Going into Business: Taking the Next Steps. Learn the basics of owning and operating a small business, and take advantage of free business advising. This 25-hour workshop covers business structure, financials, marketing, recordkeeping, planning, resources, and more. Offered on Tuesdays, April 5-June 7, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Lane's Business Development Center, 1445 Willamette Street in Eugene. Cost is $219, including materials. Writing for Supervisors. Learn basic business writing, overcome writer's block, and create clear, concise, and vigorous business messages. Quickbooks Operations Series. Learn basic and advanced functions of QuickBooks in this hands-on, 30-hour class, offered in two modules. Register for individual modules ($188 each), or save by taking the series ($238). Using Microsoft Powerpoint for Business or Sales Presentations. Polish your Powerpoint skills and learn to create dynamic visuals in this four-module series. Basic Powerpoint skills are required. Managing Data with Microsoft Access. In a two-module setting, learn basic and intermediate skills to keeping accurate data with the easy, powerful tools and features of Microsoft Access.
