Women’s business mentors needed
EUGENE, OR - The Lane Community College Business Women’s Mentoring Program is seeking mentors.
The mentoring program matches successful entrepreneurs with women business owners whose companies are ready to grow. Meeting regularly over a period of one year, mentors guide their protégées through the challenges of growing a business, smoothing the path to success.
Any woman business owner who meets the following guidelines may participate:
- Founded her company or has been its CEO for at least five years.
- Has a successful business, demonstrated by steady growth.
- Can devote an average of two to four hours per month to her protégée for at least one year.
- Can offer her protégée valuable business information and advice in a supportive, one-on-one relationship.
“The gift of giving free advice has never been so rewarding,” says mentor Sheila Craven. “The women I mentor are wonderfully energetic, committed to the success of their businesses, and continually urging me to remain involved in their growth. I love our relationships, and I love the process.”
Interested parties can call the BizCenter at 463-5255, or apply online at http://www.lanesbdc.com/.
The Business Women’s Mentoring Program was developed by the Women’s Business Network and Lane Community Colleges Business Development Center and Contract Training, with support from the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Women’s Business Ownership (OWBO).
