Aviation camp offers flight instruction and more
EUGENE - Lane Community College is offering an aviation careers summer
camp for students of high school age or older from Monday, August 18,
through Friday, August 29, 8 a.m.-noon each day, at the college’s

The camp includes 10 hours of dual flight instruction with an LCC staff

through the solo stage also will be offered, along with a review of careers
in the major air transportation industry professions, career planning,
a tour of Eugene’s air and space museum, and interaction with professional
air traffic controllers. All course materials are provided, including
the pilot's personal log book.
Students will earn two hours of college credit and all participants will be covered by college insurance as registered students at LCC.
The program
fee is $1,200. For a registration packet, call the Lane Community College
Flight Technology Department at 463-4195. Students should register by
August 8.
