Performance and trainings show how to incorproate music into children's
lives
EUGENE - A free musical performance, "How to Incorporate Music into
Children's Lives" with Red Grammer, will be held Wednesday, May 7,
from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Springfield First Christian Church, sponsored
by Lane Family Connections at Lane Community College. Grammer is a children's
performer and is well known for his concerts, trainings and events. His
energy and enthusiasm are contagious and teach without preaching; he knows
how to entertain. Parents and educators will be inspired by his music
as well as his methods for integrating music into children's lives. The
concert is free for children, their families, educators, childcare professionals,
and interested others.
In addition, two child educator trainings will be held, on Tuesday, May
6, from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Springfield First Christian Church; and Wednesday,
May 7, 12-1:30 p.m. at Lane Community College main campus, Building 4,
Room 104. The training fee is $20 for the general public, $10 for OAEYC
(Oregon Association for the Education of Young Children) members and $5
for Lane Family Connections workforce participants.
