Training available for people who work with children and youth
EUGENE - People who work with school age children or youths are invited
to consider free professional development workshops available through
Lane Family Connections at Lane Community College and the Partnership
for Youth. Upcoming training sessions are:
Saturday, February 8, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Peterson Barn
Community Center, on "Youth Development Curriculum and Activities:
Tools For Change." Instructor Cerise Roth-Vinson previously worked
as a youth development trainer and technical assistance associate with
the Education, Career and Community Program at the Northwest Regional
Educational Laboratory in Portland.
Saturday, April 5, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Peterson Barn
Community Center, on "Honoring All Voices: Cultural Competence in
Youth Programs." Instructor Keisha Edwards is currently a research
and evaluation specialist with Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory
Child and Family Program.
