Training available for people who work wth children and youth
EUGENE - People who work with school age children or youth are invited to attend free professional development workshops offered by the Lane Family Connections program of Lane Community College and the Partnership for Youth. Upcoming training sessions are:
Saturday, November 23, 8:45 a.m., Peterson Barn Community Center. "Guidance: Understanding Kids and Their Behavior." Instructor Kathy White is a prevention specialist with Lane ESD and school coordinator for Jasper Mountain School and SAFE Center School.
Saturday, December 14, "ABC'S of Programming, Bringing Assets to Life," 8:45 a.m., Hilyard Community Center. Instructor Gaila Savery has an M.Ed. in youth development, and is a workshop presenter for the Oregon Association for the Education of Young Children, National School Age Care Alliance, Oregon School Age Coalition, and Portland State University.
