Public invited to Rites of Passage closing ceremonies
EUGENE — The Rites of Passage Summer Academy at Lane Community College will hold closing ceremonies on Friday, August 2. There will be “Cultural Tasting” refreshment hour from 6-6:45 p.m., and ceremonies from 6:45-8:45 p.m., in Building 17 (Forum) Rooms 308-309 on main campus in Eugene.
The academy is in its seventh year. The academy is crafted in a cultural framework for the purpose of connecting multicultural students of African, Asian, Native and Latino/Latina heritage. The goal of the academy is to help each student develop the cultural, academic and social skills critical for success in school and life.
The public is invited. There is no charge. For more information contact program coordinator Greg Evans at 463-5340.
