LCC board seeks applicants for zone 5 vacancy
EUGENE — The
Lane Community College Board of Education is seeking applications for
the Zone 5 position on the board.
To be eligible to apply, applicants must be at least 18 years of age,
registered to vote at least 20 days prior to application, and a resident
of Zone 5 for at least six months. Zone 5 is entirely within Eugene and
generally includes the area south of the Willamette River and east of
City View Street. Addresses may be confirmed to be within Zone 5 by calling
the Lane Community College President’s Office at 463-5200 or Lane
County Elections at 682-4234.
The deadline to apply is August 15.
Eligible applicants
will be sent a list of interview questions by August 20. Interviews will
be conducted in public at a special board meeting on Tuesday, September
3, beginning at 5 p.m. in the Boardroom, Building 3, LCC main campus in
Eugene.
Term of service will last from appointment through June 30, 2003. The
Zone 5 seat will be up for election in March 2003 for a new four-year
term from July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2007.
