Many of you may know by now that Phil Powers received the IT employee recognition award for November 2004.  Quoting from Phil's nomination and additional comments:

He was instrumental in the smooth moves of Building 1 over the summer and maybe before then.  Everything progressed without any extra "noise" that I noticed.  Frequently, in this department and this field that is a sign that things went well - nobody really notices. He is always pleasant and agreeable to work with.  Lately, he has taken on some work station issues that are related to Banner and the Windows SP2 release.  His attitude and his work was invaluable in rolling out the MS Campus Agreement.  He is a quiet man who does his work with a smile and a positive attitude.

The award was donated to the department by Virginia Brady and her husband after an exhaustive statewide search.
