Thad Cowdin received the IT employee recognition award for November 2006.
Quoting from Thad's nomination:
I would like to nominate Thad Cowdin to be “it” this month. Thad has always provided Distance Learning with excellent service. Because of his “we can get it done” attitude I assumed that he provided that level of service institution wide. My assumptions were recently confirmed. Ron Little and Dan Carrere approached Distance Learning with the idea of video taping a summer XP networking class. They would like to offer as an online or hybrid class in the future. They informed us that all the work of setting up the lab would be handled by CIT. The day before the class was to begin the computers where brought to the DL lab and left. Thad, Roger and myself were left to build the lab. Thad installed a server and certified cables to each machine. This work was all done at the last minute. He had a hundred reasons why not to do the work but it was the “we can get it done” attitude that allowed this pilot project to be accomplished. It is this type of behavior that allows Lane to be great place to work.
Thank You Thad.
