Health Records Technology

The Health Records Technology program offers a one-year certificate of completion.

  • Program graduates are employed by hospitals, nursing homes, insurance companies, home health agencies, and ancillary medical service offices.
     
    In the health care field advances in medical science, legislative reforms, computerization, and the need to manage health care delivery systems and health care costs have created a growing demand for information professionals with the knowledge and skills to process, analyze, and distribute health care information.
     
  • Entry level wages range from $9 to $9.50 per hour and up, usually with excellent benefits.

Health Recds Tech

2011 Application now available

Jun 01, 2011 Jul 19, 2011 Aug 05, 2011 Point based, new for 2011. *Points will be based on letter grades given for the following courses completed and transcripted Spring 2011 or before: MTH 025, BT 120, CS 120, HIT 104, HO 100. Course completion is not a requirement to apply but will be used to prioritize applicants. The HRT program and application will have major revisions beginning Fall 2012. These changes will be announced in the 2011-12 catalog
