Those pursuing the Associate of Applied Science degree in EMT-Paramedic (AAS/EMT-P) please note that EMT-Basic, EMT151 and EMT152, are required courses in the first year of the two year EMT-Paramedic program and State EMT-Basic certification is required to apply to the second year of the program. The AAS/EMT-P is required to take the National/Oregon EMT-Paramedic exam.

For students pursuing the Associate of Applied Science degree in EMT-Paramedic, Lane also offers a Certificate of Completion created to assist students in transferring to another Oregon community college offering the two year EMT-Paramedic program. In Oregon, community college EMT-Paramedic program application processes require successful completion of all first year courses before applying into the second year. Community colleges that accept the Certificate of Completion are Lane, Umpqua (Roseburg), Rogue (Medford), Central Oregon (Bend), Chemeketa (Salem) and Portland Community College.

There is no application process for the first year EMT-P courses: EMT175, EMT196, EMT169, EMT170 and EMT171.

EMT-Intermediate is offered as a non-credit course. Oregon EMT-Basic certification or National EMT-Basic certification is required to sit in this class. Successful completers are eligible to take the Oregon EMT-Intermediate exam.
