LOW COST VACCINE AVAILABLE!
The State of Oregon has provided LCC Health Clinic with a limited supply of Gardasil vaccine. Although the value of this shot is $150, the only charge for this important vaccine is a $10 administration fee. This is available only to uninsured women 25 years of age and under. This important vaccine prevents new infections with the Human Papilloma Virus, the virus that is responsible for genital warts and over 90% of cervical cancers. To offer complete protection, a series of 3 vaccines over a period of 6 months is needed. Depending upon supply, a woman could receive the entire series for just $30.
Also the HPV vaccine is recommended for young men as well. Although the state is not paying for it at this time, most of our students qualify for assistance from the manufacturer. Please call the LCC Health Clinic at 541-463-5665 to schedule an appointment with Nadine Wilkes, RN to discuss this.
