Registration - Important Dates
There are a lot of important dates in your college schedule other than between term breaks and holidays. Many of them can be found online using the Academic Calendar.
One particularly important date to remember is the last day for full refund, which is on the first Sunday of the 1st week of the term (fall, winter, spring). Should you want a full refund, get into myLane and drop the course(s) prior to this deadline. Summer term refund dates vary depending on what summer session you register for. You’ll want to check refund dates online at 2011sitearchive.lanecc.edu/es/refunds.html
Another important date for continuing and/or returning students is the beginning of Advance Registration (AR). An annual advisement meeting with your program advisor/counselor clears continuing and returning students for early register for classes early. This allows you to get the courses you want by receiving priority registration for the academic year. Dates for Advance Registration will vary by term so you will want to consult with your program advisor/counselor, the Academic Calendar, or the Advising/Counseling Department.

"Many new students have trouble enrolling into popular classes such as science, writing, and math during their first term because they fill up quickly. Make certain you have developed an academic plan and prepare to register early”.
