Become a TRiO Tutor
TRiO tutors serve a small population of Lane students, less than 200. Most of our students are first generation college students, and the TRiO tutors as part of a full-service support program are a direct link to their success and retention. Some of these students come to the TRiO Learning Center (TLC) for tutoring in two or three subjects at least once a week, and it helps that TRiO tutors are adept in at least two subject areas.
If you are applying for a tutoring position, this is a non-workstudy, non-learn-&-earn position. Lane uses a competitive hiring process. Please apply by going to the Lane home page. Click on "quick links"> job search>search postings. Click the "job title" dropdown screen and select "oncall, part-time algebra/calculus tutors." The posting will give you all the information you need and instructions for applying. The posting begins on July 1 for the upcoming academic year. TRiO tutoring positions are on a term-by-term basis, and most tutors are renewed each term. The first review date for applications will be on or about September 14. Be sure to complete the application and include the additional forms and documentation using the links in the posting.
