Mini Guide

PLACING OUTSIDE CALLS
  • Lift handset or press SPKR button
  • Dial 9
  • Dial desired telephone number
Note: If using SPKR your microphone light must be on.

PLACING INTERNAL CALLS

  • Lift handset or press SPKR button
  • Dial internal extension
Note: If using SPKR your microphone light must be on.

RECEIVING INCOMING CALLS

  • Lift handset 
  • Press flashing line key
Note: If call is on Prime line, flashing line does not need to be pressed.

CALL HOLD

  • Press HOLD button
  • Replace handset
EXCLUSIVE HOLD
  • Press HOLD button twice
  • Replace handset
Note: Held line will be steady at other phones where your line appears. You can only retrieve call from hold at your phone.

RECONNECT HELD LINE

  • Lift handset 
  • Press flashing line of held call
Note: If your held call goes unanswered, after a programmed time; your call will automatically recall you.

CALL TRANSFER

  • Press TRF button; receive interrupted dial tone
  • Dial extension number
  • Replace handset
Note: If you wish to privately anounce transfer, wait until the called party answers, announce the call, then hang up.

DICM BUTTON
(only on some phones)
To initiate:

  • Lift handset
  • Depress DICM button
  • Dial desired intercom station
To answer:
  • Lift handset
  • Depress DICM button
(light will be flashing)

CONFERENCE CALL

  • With call in progress
  • Press TRF button
  • Dial second party (internal or external)
  • When second party answers, press CNF button.
SPEED DIALING
Do not lift handset
  • Press FNC button
  • Press desired speed call storage button
  • Dial desired telephone number (internal or external)
  • Press FNC button second time to store number
To Verify
  • Do not lift handset
  • Press FNC button
  • Press speed call storage button
  • The stored number will be displayed
ANSWERING CAMPED ON CALL
  • After hearing short tone bursts in handset:
  • Depress ANS button
  • 1st call automatically placed on hold; 2nd call automatically accessed
To alternated between calls:
  • Press ANS button
CALL PICKUP
  • Lift handset
  • Press pick button or dial *7
  • You are automatically connected to incoming call ringing a phone in your pickup group
DIRECTED CALL PICKUP
  • Lift handset
  • Dial #7 and unanswered ringing phone number

  • Incoming call is connected to your phone
CALL FORWARD - ALL CALLS
  • Lift handset
  • Press CFA button or dial *2; receive beeping tone
  • Dial extension number where calls are to forward; (3535 for voicemail)
  • Replace handset
CANCEL CALL FORWARD - ALL CALLS
  • Lift handset
  • Press CFA button or dial #2; receive steady tone

  • Replace handset
CALL FORWARD - BUSY 
  • Lift handset
  • Press CFB button or dial *1; receive beeping tone
  • Dial extension number where calls are to forward; (3535 for voicemail), receive steady tone
  • Replace handset
CANCEL CALL FORWARD - BUSY
  • Lift handset
  • Press CFB button or dial #1; receive steady tone

  • Replace handset
CALL FORWARD - NO ANSWER
  • Lift handset
  • press CFNA button or dial * 3; receive beeping tone
  • Dial extension number where calls are to forward (3535 for voicemail), receive steady tone
CANCEL CALL FORWARD - NO ANSWER
  • Lift handset
  • press CFNA button or dial dial  # 3; receive steady tone
CALL BACK
Upon encountering a busy tone:
  • Press CB button; receive stedy tone
  • Replace handset

  • Note: When busy station/outgoing line becomes idle, your telephone will ring 3 rings
  • Lift handset

  • Note: System will automatically dial the extension or telephone number (local or long distance) for you
SAVE & REPEAT
To save a specific number after dialing
  • Press S&R button
  • Replace handset
To access saved number
  • Lift handset
  • Press S&R button
  • The saved number will automatically be redialed
LAST NUMBER REDIAL
  • Lift handset
  • Press LNR/SPD button
  • Press *
  • The last number will be automatically redialed.
If you have a display phone, you can press the LNR/SPD button up to 5 times until the desired number is displayed.  Then press *, the number will be redialed.

RECALL
To retrieve new dial tone without hanging up.

  • Press Recall


OTHER FEATURES

ARROW KEYS
These buttons have several functions:

  • With handset down, they adjust the brightness on the display
  • With SPKR button pressed, they adjust volume of speaker
  • With handset lifted, they adjust the volume of incoming speech
  • When phone is ringing, they adjust the ringing volume.  Leave handset down while adjusting ring..
FUNCTION BUTTON - FUNCTION BUTTON ACTIVITIES
  • FNC + 1 = Turns MIC on or off
  • FNC + 2 = Adjusts handset receiver volume
  • FNC + 3 = selects ringer tone (four different tones)
  • FNC + 4 = Adjusts transmission and receiving volume
  • FNC + 4 = Turns red lamp on of off for incoming call notification
