  • Winter 2004 Reviewed and supported college workstation replacement plan and Luminis
  • Fall 2003 Welcomed 3 new members; studied the Microsoft Campus Agreement and recommend adoption

  • Fall 1996  The Executive Leadership Team solicited nominations from the community for participation on TACT.
  • Summer 1996 The TACT Charter was created by both the Technology Planning Work Team and the Vice-Presidents. The charter clarifies membership, purpose, issues, decision-making authority, process, implications, and timelines for the TACT. Where conflict between the Technology Planning work Team Report and the TACT Charter exists, the TACT Charter takes precedence.
  • Spring 1996 The decision-making authority for the new TACT was given to the Executive Leadership Team and sponsored by the Vice-Presidents.
  • Winter 1996 The Technology Planning Work Team TACT Membership Criteria was created by the Technology Planning Work Team in response to the request for more specific information from the President and Vice-Presidents.
  • Summer and Fall 1995 The Technology Planning Work Team Report resulted from a series of discussions held by the Technology Planning Work Team during the Summer and Fall 1995. the Report recommended the formation of a Technology Advising and Consulting Team (TACT) for the purpose of creating a technology vision for the planning and use of technology at Lane in terms of the teaching/learning and work environments including strategic and annual planning and to recommend processes to encourage coordination among five functional areas: services to student success, curriculum development, professional development, information systems, and facilities planning.
  • The technology Planning Work Team was established in June 1995, by President Jerry Moskus, upon the recommendation of the Ron Bleed Report, IT Assessment, and the Technology Think Tank. The Work Team was to make recommendations regarding the use of technology at Lane Community college. In particular, the team was asked to: make a formal proposal for a Technology Steering Committee or equivalent body which will carry the major responsibility for coordinating and leading the College's technology efforts in both instructional and administrative areas, and...
  • Review and summarize the key technology issues facing the College,
  • Make a proposal for the organization and governance of technology use, and
  • Propose the initial agenda for this entity, which would include as a high priority the preparation of a formal technology plan for the College.
