Better Bones & Balance Beginning
This fitness program involves weight bearing activities to encourage development of muscle strength and power, as well as promote dynamic balance. The program can help maintain bone density and prevent falls. Research at Oregon State University indicates that regular participants have a reduced risk of osteoporosis and falling. Since its inception in 1979, the program has covered defensive driving techniques, rules of the road, and normal changes in vision, hearing, and reaction time – including ways to compensate for these changes. Classic American cinema got a big boost in 1933 when Hitler's edicts exiled some of Germany's greatest filmmakers. Thrill to the early works of Billy Wilder (later famous for "Some Like It Hot" and "Stalag 17"); Fred Zinneman ("High Noon", "From Here to Eternity"); Fritz Lang ("Metropolis", "M", "Fury"); Otto Preminger ("Laura", "Anatomy of a Murder"), and others.
