Course Variations
Hybrid
Hybrid format means:
- Independent learning
- Just one 2-hour class meeting each week
- Homework and testing online with MyMathLab
- Web access to instructor
- Math Resource Center for tutoring
This course is appropriate for students who are independent learners, have good internet access at home and enjoy working on a computer and with new applications.
MyMathLab (Begins Fall 2011)
This class requires use of MyMathLab, an interactive web based math learning tutorial and assessment system. Instructors will assign work using this system and may use it for testing purposes. Also, it is useful as a study aid to supplement classroom instruction. MyMathLab access comes bundled with new textbooks purchased at the Titan Bookstore, and may also be purchased seperately online or at the Titan Bookstore (while supplies last).
MRC
This is a self-paced class setting without an Instructor. Instead of meeting in a classroom, students will work independently with assistance from tutors in the Math Resourse Center (MRC). Tests are computer based. To enroll, students must meet the course prerequisites, attend an orientation session on one of the first two days of the term, and obtain instructor permission to enroll after orientation.

Note:
Classes with the same course number cover the same topics and have the same objectives and grading standards regardless of instructional format.
