Google analytics

Getting started:

After you log in, your first view is the Dashboard page. There are a few things you will want to set up so you can view the information you want.

On Dashboard page, scroll down to bottom of the page. Under Top Content, click the view report link.

- On that page, scroll down to the bottom of the page and find the text " Filter Page"

- make sure the first drop down box choice is “containing”

- then in the next box insert the folder name for your website in this string: ^/disability/
but change disability to your directory on the server. For example if your url is 2011sitearchive.lanecc.edu/disability/ then use disability between the forward slashes.

On that same page in the bottom right corner, change the Show rows: to 500. That way you ensure you see all your page results in one page.

Once you have made those changes, you are set to explore your statistics.

While on the Top Content page, at the top you can change the date range to show what time period you want to review. (see example right)

Click the drop down arrow next to the date, (see example right) then in the date range boxes, type in the date range you want to review.

On any given view, you can export the data on that page as a pdf or in other formats. The export link is at the top of the page. Once you click the Export tab, you will see the different formats you can export the information on that page as.

The menu on the left gives you access to many different types of information. Please explore, but at this time, keep in mind that others will have access to this same profile, so for now only view what information is there. Custom settings, reporting, anything that modifies the main view for everyone should be avoided. We will work on how to handle any custom settings within this shared environment and let you know when we have new information. Also, at this time we have no trainings scheduled.
