IT GroupWise Client Upgrade Notification: We will be upgrading GroupWise 8 with a recent Hot Patch that will fix many issues. A notice was put in the LCC Weekly on Tuesday Jan 26th and another was sent to LCC Employees on Wednesday Jan 27th. That work will be performed on Saturday February 6th and Sunday February 7th. After the patches have been added to the backend of our system, the next step involves upgrading the workstations (or clients) that you log into on a daily basis. First take note that this upgrade is only for Windows XP workstations. If in doubt please call the HelpDesk at ext 4444. also Note: Laptop users please schedule an appointment with the helpdesk to get updated! Macintosh users – Your client will be automatically upgraded! Windows Client upgrades will be begin on Monday February 8th. You will start receiving upgrade notices from your post office as you login. Here is what you need to know and do: You will get an upgrade notice: Choose either yes, Upgrade your GroupWise client now OR no to upgrade later. If you choose yes, follow the on screen instructions. If you choose no, you will have 5 grace logins before you have to choose yes or the upgrade will happen automatically. Should you have problems, please call the help desk at ext. 4444. |
