IT Direct
Instructions

Request services using IT Direct. Login with your email address, enter the details of your request and submit the form.

To request assistance from the IT department, you may call x4444, email us at itsc@lanecc.edu or you can enter your own requests for service online!

Step 1

  • Go to IT Direct
  • Enter your email address and click submit
    • If you are not already setup in the system, the program will prompt you to enter your email address. If this occurs, enter your last name and click submit
    • Enter your first name and phone number (last name and email address should already be filled in from your previous entries) and click submit
    • You will not have to enter this information again
  • The IT Service Center Service Request Form then opens and Step 1 is already completed.

Step 2

  • Click on Location and select the campus you are requesting service be performed
  • Click on Building and select your department name
  • Please do not select anything in Area
  • In Area/Room number, please enter the building and room number where service is needed (LCC17 303, for example)

  • Please enter a detailed description of the problem you are reporting or the service you are requesting

Step 5

  • If you wish, you can enter the S number of the equipment that is needing service (this is not a required field)

Step 6

  • Please enter any pertinent information on when you are available so our technicians know when they can reach you. (This field looks a lot smaller than it is)

Step 7

  • In this step, you can attach a file if it is pertinent to the request for service. Just click on Attach New File and then click Browse. Locate the file you wish to attach, click on it, click Open, then click submit.

Step 8

  • Enter the password – this is a universal, college-wide password. The password is password. Enter password.

Step 9

  • Click Submit
  • YOU ARE DONE!

A couple of additional notes

  • You can check on the status of your service requests, by clicking on My Requests at the top left of the screen.
  • You can change the email notifications you will receive from the system by selecting Settings at the top left of the screen. Click on “I prefer these email notification settings”, select the options you wish, enter password in the password filed and click submit.
  • If you have questions on how to enter your requests, just call us at x4444.
