Services Summer of 2004 witnessed a number of changes in the Information Technology Department. As part of an internal reorganization, we stopped using two long-time department names: Computer Services and Instructional Technology Support Services. The IT department now consists of four service units: Technology Support Services, Technology Infrastructure Services, Distance Learning, and Archives and Records Management. Todd Lutz was hired as the new manager of Technology Support Services (TSS). The unit encompasses a number of service areas: the Help Desk, Computing Labs, Web Services, Technical Training, Electronic Services and A/V Services. Todd will lead an effort during the next year to re-design TSS to best align it with current support needs. Technology Infrastructure Services (TIS) includes Programming Services, Network Administration and Telecommunicatons. TIS is managed by the AVP for IT. The Distance Learning Department and Archives and Records Management are the other two units that round out the Information Technology Department. Both report directly to the AVP for IT.
