Credit students are those enrolling in courses that fulfill degree or certificate requirements or courses working towards transfer to a four-year college or university. Two examples of this could include a student working towards and Energy Management Technician (EMT) degree or an Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (AAOT). By the way, both of these are offered at Lane.
Non-credit courses are typically taught within Lane’s Continuing Education program. These courses can meet professional development and personal growth needs. However, they are not likely to apply to degree/certificates or transfer to 4-year colleges. Examples of non-credit continuing education courses include Grant Writing, Wine Appreciation, and Massage for Non-Professionals. For a comprehensive list of offerings check the Aspire magazine or online Class Schedule.
