Through Co-op you earn professional technical/college transfer credit and a grade for learning attained at a work site related to your educational and career goals. You will gain on-the-job experience in a business or organization which adds meaning and direction to your total education. You can earn between three and eighteen co-op credits during your education at Lane.

Co-op Offers You Opportunities To:

  • Develop job skills and self-confidence
  • Earn credit for paid employment
  • Receive guidance in career expectations and demands
  • Locate part-time or full-time employment
  • Explore and confirm career choice
  • Develop job contacts and a work history (looks great on your resume)
  • Get instruction and practice in resume preparation and job interviewing skills
  • Begin a co-op job any time during the school term
