Early Childhood Education - Application Information
- Apply for admission to Lane. Refer to Getting Started at Lane as well as Enrollment Services.
- Complete the testing process for new students.
- Submit transcripts of previous college and/or high school courses.

- Complete fillable Early Childhood Education Application *(.PDF file) and send via e-mail to earlychildhooded@lanecc.edu.
- After new student testing is completed you will be given information regarding a New Student Information Session (NSIS).
- Email the Counseling Department or call (541) 463-3200 if you have any questions about a NSIS.
- Arrange for a state required central background records check.
- If you have lived out of the state of Oregon any time during the last 18 months, an FBI check is also required. Contact Michel Ronning (541) 463-3522 or stop by the main office in building 24 (the child care complex) to pick up forms. The fee is to be paid by check to the address on the form provided to you. Cost is $3.00 for the state check. Following the state check, individuals may have to pay an additional $62.00 if an FBI check is required. If the FBI check is needed, fingerprinting must also be done. Arrangements can be made by Michel Ronning to have the fingerprinting done by Lane Community College Security.

7. Enroll, complete and submit required program paperwork to American DataBank.
- Students enrolled in ECE 140 and ECE 240 need to be signed up with America DataBank. This process can be started by visiting the America DataBank website @ www.lanecccompliance.com. Students need to log in to the tracking system to register and pay the required $30.00 yearly registration fee. Students can print the required Immunization forms and submit them along with the following documentation to American DataBank:
- Copy of Current Food Handler Card
- Proof of Enrollment in the Central Background Registry
- Documnetation of Required Immunizations
- Proof of current T.B. Test & results (done within the past 12 months)
*Please note that all requirements listed under #7 need to be complete, submitted by the student and approved by American Databank by Sept. 2, 2011 in order for a student to be enrolled in ECE 140 or ECE 240 for fall term 2011..
