Lane Community College Campus Long Range Planning

Creating a Great Campus, Place, Community

Overview

As state funding for the community colleges dwindle, it is time for Lane Community College (LCC) to take its financial future into it own hands. The long range planning work started off as a conceptual study for how LCC‘s existing portfolio of property, its perimeter in particular, could be used to develop a secondary revenue stream. Currently, the project is looking at how best to link academic programs with future development opportunities by laying out a flexible framework that allows development to occur in an ethical and appropriate way.

With strong leadership support and under the guidance of the Master Planning Task Force, the study was launched in Fall 2009. Numerous Lane community members participated in this multi-year process including; members of Lane's faculty, staff, students, and managers, city, county and state representatives, with additional input from community members and local activist groups.

This website documents the process undertaken and makes the content - included in the alternative options and current framework, meeting reports, the end of year 2010 Conceptual Vision Document (CVD) cumulative 2010-2011 long range planning reports  - available as it is released.
