July 9, 2001 Update
THREE STRUCTURES BEGIN TO MERGE AT WFTC SITE.
Portions of exterior walls on both the south and west sides of the old Apprenticeship Building (#19) have been removed as construction activities progress towards integrating the established building with the new additions. On the south side, debris is still being cleared from the second floor of Building 19. Steel grid that will support the roof of the future T&D area is now positioned atop structural steel uprights. On the west side, saw cuttings are being made in portions of the first floor concrete slab. Recently, a steel stairway was positioned in the future Conference Center lobby. Demolition activities continue on the second floor of the former Apprenticeship facility. On the first floor, installation of ductwork is underway.
