WORKFORCE TRAINING
September 18, 2000 Update
ENGINEERS CONTINUE TO LOOK AT EXISTING POWER LINES AT WFTC SITE.
This past weekend, water was shutdown to the Child Care facilities in order that work could be conducted on lines at the Workforce Training Center site. Since power lines are located in close proximity to waterlines, engineers were present at excavation. By discovering how the power lines are laid out, engineers will be able to determine the most effective way to proceed with work on electrical lines. Resolution of issues pertaining to infrastructure lines has prompted architects at gLAs to recommend that the Conference Center portion of the WTC go out to bid in late October. In light of Oregon's weather patterns, the Bond Project Management Team is looking at applying rock at will facilitate drainage at the excavated site.
Questions and comments about any bond construction activity may be directed to 744-4154 or e-mailed to bond@lanecc.edu. All communication received will be regularly reviewed by the Bond Project Management Team (BPMT), the architects, and the Facilities Management Committee.
