WORKFORCE TRAINING
August 7, 2000 Update
EUGENE SAND & GRAVEL SUBMITS APPARENT LOW BID FOR WORKFORCE SITE PREP.
Out of six bids submitted, and with the apparent low bid of $61,658, the Bond Project Management Team will recommend that the Board of Education award the site preparation of the Conference Center portion of the Workforce Training Center to Eugene Sand & Gravel, Inc. Since a relatively quick award is expected, work should begin within approximately two weeks and conclude in October of this year. Site preparation of the building will be adjacent to the Apprenticeship building on the west side. The staging area for Eugene Sand & Gravel, Inc. will be the parking lot south of the Apprenticeship building (Lot E). Please consult the bond web site under 'Workforce Training Center' for a map that displays the perimeters of the contractor's fencing and restrictions of access. Currently, the south side of Lot E has been restricted due to development of a temporary sidewalk that will provide access to the campus from the west parking lots during development of the Workforce Training Center
