December 8, 2000 Update
ONLY TWO MONTHS TO SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION
Chambers Construction has set February 1st as the substantial completion date of the Student Services building. This means that the building will be sufficiently finished, and as the owner, LCC can take beneficial occupancy by moving things into the facility. After the February 1st date, Chambers Construction will continue to work on a punch list of items to be completed. Currently, work taking place is centered in several key areas: installation of the main lobby elevator, interior finish work on doors and hardware, and initial glazing work at the main west entrance.
