SCIENCE ADDITION
January 8, 2001 Update
ENERGY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM BEGINS PREPARATIONS FOR MOVE TO SCIENCE/MATH WEST ADDITION.
The west addition is coming up fast on a March completion date. However, the Energy Management Program (EMP) will be the first department relocated to the west addition in slightly over one month. If occupancy permits are issued, EMP is scheduled to move during February 16th -19th. By occupying completed offices on the second floor of the west addition in February, the EMP move will vacate ELEX modulars, providing critical time for minor remodeling to take place prior to portions of the T&D's program temporarily relocating to the space. Remaining portions of the west addition will continue to have LCC trades finishing up work that will have the entire facility ready to go in March. In regard to west addition construction activities, cabinets are completely installed on the first floor, and carpet and vinyl floor coverings are being laid down this week. Wood slat ceilings that will adorn upper portions on the west and east sides of the addition are currently being mounted on supporting grid.
