Timely Tips: First week of the term - return to Timely Tips index

  • Attend 100% of your courses (or you may be dropped)! Avoid being charged for classes that you have not attended or do not want to take, by dropping them by midnight of the refund deadline day.  Check the Academic Calendar for important dates.
  • Finalize your schedule; the earlier in the first week that you have added or dropped classes if necessary, the sooner you can focus on the course content.
  • Get your Bus Pass in Building 19, Room 117 during the first week of the term.  You will need a copy of your term schedule and current photo ID, such as a driver’s license.
  • Review the syllabus for each course and enter important dates on your calendar.
  • Make a master calendar for the term with all the important due dates indicated.
  • Exchange contact information with at least one other student in each course in case you miss class or want to clarify an assignment or concept.
  • Start an organizational system and use it daily.
