Improve waste reduction programs
- Save paper by thinking thru how we format and distribute documents
- Improve construction waste management
- Reduce/reuse food waste
- Use food more efficiently in kitchen
- Increase composting
- Provide kitchen grease to biodiesel manufacturer
- Improve portion control
- Improve food bank use of preconsumer waste
- Consider reducing electronic waste by thinking thru the automatic replacement cycle on CPUs
Improve recycling programs
- Provide a higher level of recycling service
- Increase ratio of recycling receptacles to waste receptacles
- Expand the number of recyclable items on campus
- Improve “technology” recycling
Increase purchasing of products made in a sustainable way
- Reduced, returnable, or recyclable packaging
- Educating ourselves on how to select “green” products
- Coordinate with other college’s on green purchasing efforts

Improve storm water management
- Improve use of permeable surfaces (replace asphalt parking lots with permeable surfaces)

- Divert any storm water that is currently routed to the sewage lagoons
Decrease our dependence on fossil fuels
- Use biodiesel in fleet vehicles
- Continue replacing motor pool vehicles with gas/electric hybrids
